All I want for Christmas

This time around, during my uni time, there would be a Christmas musical play. I really enjoy those play, especially musical ones. Really miss watching those play.

Now, these are my wish list!!

1. A digital SLR camera! An entry level Nikon D40 would fit into the bill. Cost around RM2.2k
2. I want a wrist watch. Have been going around without a watch all this while.
3. A new shoe. Hush Puppies would be nice :P

There's a lot more on my list actually, but those are the top 3 :p
Hope Santa would be kind enough to be give me all 3. Hahaha. Should I e-mail him on this?

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Best month ever ahead?

This would be my happy post. No rants :P

Hehehe bonus is out... hooray!! Haha... Went to Giant Supermarket to shop for some groceries. It's been a long time since I last did that. I spent almost RM60 and I'm happy that I bought 2 giant box of cereal, which is Coco Crunch and Honey Star!! Muahaha... I don't have to worry about my breakfast for the next 2 months I guess :P

I've reported my lost ID card and you know what? It only cost me Rm10 when I'm expecting it to be Rm50. I'm darn happy. I think that's one of the reason why I go shopping too :P

My colleague, JC Siaw also did inform me of a good news, which give me a slight hope of realizing my wish. I wish I could own a Digital SLR camera, but it's too expensive :( For me at least. Now that Nikon is planning to launch a D40 model which is going to be much cheaper that D50. I hope Nikon D40 cost would be below Rm2k. That would be really great news to me and give me a glimpse of hope on owning a DSLR camera :D

In a few more days, I'll be taking a flight to Singapore. This would be my first time on a plane!!! OMG!!! I know I know, I'm only boarding a plane at the age of 24? I wouldn't care less. Owh yea, and this would also be my second time going to Singapore. In fact, my second time going abroad. Yea it's been quite a long time since I last remember my trip to Singapore. I couldn't even remember if it wasn't for those old photos. I was 5 years old then I guess. So it's been 19 years since I last gone on a holiday abroad. -Sigh-

Wait... Why am I going to Singapore? Hehe, I'm actually following my father there. He would be there for training for 4 days. So I just wanna tag along coz got FREE accommodation. I'll be staying in a 5 star hotel without paying a single cent :p Ok why flight you ask? Singapore only wor? Walk also can reach lor... Yea you're rite. 1st reason, I've never been on a flight, secondly my father can redeem those Enrich points for air ticket and 3rd those points gonna expired soon, so why not use it?

Anyway I'm gonna compensate all my years lost without going anyway by... taking lotsa pictures with my beloved Canon Ixus 50!! Haha. I even upgraded the memory card to 1Gig. I was planning to buy an extra battery too, but that cost like RM150. Hopefully it would be fine and capture lotsa lotsa pics!!!

Okay I guess that's all for now. I think December is going to be the BEST month ever with all the holidays coming. Looking forward to my trip to Singapore. Ciaoz.

OMG OMG OMG!!! NO WATER SUPPLY FOR 1 WHOLE WEEK!!!
I can't believe this. There won't be any water supply to my house for 1 whole week. WHAT!!?? Gosh that's terrible. Sigh. I have to shower in my company. We could shower at the toilet ground floor but I guess that would be a bit too dirty. LOL. Darn. 1 week? 1 whole week?? @#@$#$#&*%&#Y%&@)*%&@%)(@&%

I guess this month is a bad month for me. I lost my door access card :( and last week I've been working till past 12am every nite. I know lar, got a lot more ppl working later than I do. Still I have to rant :P

Hope it'll get better. Hehe. Ciaoz...

Take good care my friend

Note* - found this draft around, unfinished post of mine. Well now it's done :P

What's life without a dream? How far could you go to achieve it?

I've got this one friend, who yearns to live in a foreign country and try to be independent there. It's one of her dreams. Should she work first and wait for a chance to go outstation? Or do something about it to realize the dream. Well of course she had chosen to do something about it. She applied in some program to become some sorta nanny in US and she passed the interview and stuff.

OK that was easy, but the problem is that she couldn't get full support from her dad. Her dad actually wasn't particular happy with his daughter's decision, and well my friend won't give up so easily so she tried and tried to persuade her dad to let her go. Well I guess there's no stopping of a grown-up daughter. In the end, my friend is in US now.

Selfish, you could say but it sure takes up a lot of courage to realize this dream of hers and trying to go against her dad at some point. The bravery to face uncertainty of a new environment outstation, she would be one of the boldest friend of mine, with her own principality in life. It's my pleasure to meet such a friend.

That aside, we threw her a farewell dinner too, with a bunch of Seremban Heng Dai Zhi Mui. We planned for a dinner at Chili's @ MidValley but the place were full, so we ended up in San Francisco Steakhouse. Some pictures below:

Sparkling Juice only, not red wine

Err can't remember what's the name :P

Carbonara Spagethi

Can't remember this as well :P (I think it's San Francisco steak)

The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful

The Good: I've finally get my car fixed, and I can resume my driving as usual. Hoorahh...

The Bad: There's still nothing much for me to do in the new team, which kinda make me useless and I tend to think of something sad or my pathetic life. Haha. I just wanna get busy and concentrate on my work.

The Beautiful: Well, it's the start of English Premier League again and the team that I supported, non other than Manchester United(as my blog name suggested) started off in style with a 5-1 win over Fulham. I know Fulham played a bad game that day but take no credits off the Red Devils for their incredible efforts. Hopefully this will build up to a great season with 2 trophies at least!!! Takind both the Premier League and Champions' League title. Muahahaha...

Another car rant

My car let down on me again. The stupid wheel bearing spoiled again for the second time in 3 months!!! The noise from that is also worse than it was before. I'm now driving darn blardy slow, which is at the range of 60 km/h, fearing my wheels might fall off or something.

One good thing about this tragedy is that, it saves me a tiny little bit of petrol. A full tank of petrol would usually last 450km++, but this time it reaches 490km++ before I refill it again, fearing that my fuel indicator might have spoiled too. Hahaha. It might perhaps last till 550km, but I don't dare to take the risk :P

The bad thing, it would cost me at least RM150 to fix it. Darn.

Free Time and some thoughts

I've been pretty free for the past few weeks as I am in transition to a new team. So it had been really slow for the past 3 weeks. What have I been doing for that period of time? Haha. Basically nothing. Just walking around disturbing people and chatting. If I'm bored of doing those stuff, I'll just space off and think of the future, well in other words, dreaming. Dreaming what I would be like in a few years time. Wondering if I would be able to travel to somewhere else!!! How pathetic if I tell ppl that I've not been on an airplane before. Haha.

Well, I do feel lonely at times. Feel like I've got no direction in my life. Luckily I do have lots of friends that're always around me, and of course, I go back to Seremban every week to be with my family obviously, so I won't be going on a journey by myself. My family and the friendship are the 2 things that I cherish the most. Those 2 elements are the strength of me still going thru the journey of my life aimlessly, not knowing where to go.

I definitely love to learn and try out new stuff, new activity and etc but to do it alone would be a bit too boring and dull. This world is about sharing anyway. There lots of stuff I wanna learn, but it's just too much. lol...

Whatever is it, I will surely live my life to the fullest and won't let my family and friends be disappointed in myself. In return, I'll try my best to protect my family and also all my buddies out there. Wahhhsehhh... like some hero pulak :P They will be happy if I don't give any troubles to them. Hahaha...

Hangout

My colleague, Kah Hoong's birthday was on 30th July, so we decided to throw him belated birthday celebration on the 31st, which was a Monday. The place that has been decided is the new F1 Steak House that was newly opened at the shophouses beside the Puchong Giant supermarket. The place was so hard to find at first because the sign was so so so so small. I had to park my car and slowly look for it. Hehe. The food and drinks pricing were a bit expensive meanwhile the food there was ok, nothing really to shout about, so I don't expect myself to be going back there again.

The dinner ends about 9pm plus, and guess what they suggested. Karaoke session next. Wow. So here we go to the nearest karaoke lounge, which is Galaxy. We went in only t 11pm as it is cheaper after 11pm. We sang and sang until the final minute, which is 3am in the morning. As though we don't need to work the next day! Poor me have to wake up early the next day to fetch my housemate, Ah Fai for interview.

I do enjoy all the stuffs above but please, no more karaoke session when we had to work the next day.

MotoParty 2006 Dinner

Company dinner was held on 28 July, and this is the second annual dinner since I joined. The first one was held in Renaissance Hotel, this time it was held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This year's dinner was considerably better than the last one in my opinion, with the parade of the best dressed ladies and guys, MotoIdol and the lucky prize items offered. Guess what, the grand prize for the lucky prize is a Motorola V3i Gold!!! Well watever, I didn't get to win it. So who cares?

After the dinner, Chee Leong and I decided to go look for Kuchai Lama Food Court since it was in the list of our to visit list. Kekeke. The place was quite easy to find, and I ordered some popcorn chicken since I'm quite full after the dinner. Chee Leong on the other hand, ordered prawn mee for himself, and he told me he's full? Hahaha.

Some of the photos taken:

Changing team

It's been long time since I last pdate my blog. kekeke... too lazy I suppose. :P

I've moved to development team in my company from my original UMTS test team starting on the 24th. I'm gonna miss working in UMTS test team as that team is a wonderful team. Would like to express my gratitude to the whole team for always supporting and helping me.

How did I got to move? Hmm... how should I start. My manager came out of nowhere and ask me to have a chat with him in the meeting room, and voila, he offered me an opportunity to become a developer. I would like to thank him for the chance that he had given to me. Another person that has always been guiding me is my Tech Lead. She's the best in the team and I really respect her. Would like to thank her for all the thing that she had taught me. This 2 person had always been there to support me and my utmost respect is for them. Too bad that my manager is leaving the company next month, returning to US. Guess I won't be seeing him in the badminton session after that.

Hopefully my new team is as good as my old one. kekeke...

Birthday, May 9

Well my birthday this year, started with a visit to a clinic, had a very bad throat. It hurts even when I'm drinking water, imagine how bad is that. The doctor advice me to take a day off and rest at home as I've got slight fever as well. Well yea why not. I deserve a rest on my birthday :P I'm feeling much better now.

Been sleeping at home the whole day that day, and also watched Big Momma House(half asleep :P) I did receive some SMS, calls, e-mails and also IM to wish me Happy Birthday too. Thank you all for all the wishes.

At night, my housemates treated me for pizza. Yeap, you heard me right, pizza again. Hahahaha. Not much choice. I've to follow suit, and the birthday cake was presented at home. You guys are a bunch of great housemates. Best in da world. I'm really happy to have stay with you guys. Thanks again for all the things done.

The next day, I was back in office. Got a few belated birthday greetings from a few colleagues, and I realize I miss a training on the day I was on MC. OATS
(Not NESTUM OATS lar) training. Well I dunno wat's that, but I'm interesting in finding out, but not implementing it :P And also guess what, Thursday is gonna be one of my colleague's birthday too, and where they suggest to celebrate it? Yeap u guess rite, Pizza again! Hahaha. I think I'm fated to eat pizza.

At 11 plus am, we usually have a chat conference to discuss on where to go for lunch, and Vicky suggested KFC. Well ok. I just have to discipline and not to eat those fried stuff, and I did. Ordered a large whipped potato, 2 buns and a coffee. It's pretty satisfying and full. After all of us finish makan, zeng zeng zeng, my colleague brought out a cake! What a surprise. I'm really touched. Thanks for the lovely cake and birthday song too.

At nite, finally I got the chance to perform upgrade. Muahahaha. Missed it last week due to some other commitments, watch Thomas Cup and M:I:3 :P Sorry to Sasha as she have to stay until 2am, pity her. It's Friday nite and she should have gone home way before that time. This time, I feel bad that Iskandar have to come back to check if the upgrade was okay. He should be enjoying his post M:I:3 show. Hehehe. Anyway, thanks Iskandar for dropping by.

I'll post up those pics later ;)

Labor's Day @ Jogoya

I spent my day of Labor's Day sucking on those oysters and munching at those tempuras for my holiday. Went to Jogoya at Starhill for some buffet lunch or so called Hi Tea, which is from 2pm to 4:20pm. Four of us, David, Tee, Kah Yien and myself arrived there at bout 2:10pm and saw that there's quite a lot of people outside, but it wasn't too crowded that day, as there're still quite a number of empty tables in our room sections. The pricing of the buffet was ok at RM68 per pax, excluding tax of course. The pricing depends on the what time slot of the day. The Hi Tea slot was the lowest at RM68 per person.

We wasted no time after being shown to our table, taking those Cod Fish and prawns at sight. Those Cod fish is my all time favourite. Oysters, crabs, salmons and tempuras. You name it, they've got it. The food's fresh too. Will I go back there? For sure I will, but not so soon. Maybe I'll bring my parents along next time. Kekekeke.

Overall, I'm full and satisfied. What' more to ask for?

Pics taken after finish makan :P

Updates and Bad Luck

Well I didn't manage to try the Bak Kut Teh steamboat. Why? My car broke down :( Battery died. Thanks to the brake lights that stayed on even when I'm not stepping on it. Darn!!! I was happily getting ready and this happened. Luckily the car could be started back with the help of some colleagues. Thanks to them that I manage get my car started. Thanks a bunch, guys!!!

The next day, we(UMTS and CMP team) had a dinner at some Seafood Restaurant in Putrajaya. Seafood my head. The only seafood they serve that day was a fish, fried one summore. Okay nevermind, it's free food anyway. It's good for them to recognize our work by treating the whole team.

That day was one of my colleague's last day as wel, which makes his farewell party one of the grand one. Hahaha. Well Thasa, all the best when u return to India.

BTW, I lost my godarn access card too. Sigh. Wat a bad luck. I feel that this year has been a lil bit bad for me. Well nothing much I can do about that. Hope it gets better.

Bowling

Boo hoo hoo... I forgot my Blogger password for the past few days... So I didn't have a chance to update the blog. Just recovered it... heehee...

There was a company event on Monday, bowling competition in Sunway Pyramid. My team were a bit lucky, with the lane a bit "gila" we manage to get 2 free strikes. Too bad I didn't manage any. My score for first game was 106, second game a bit worse, 88 points only :( Overall my team did considerably well, job well done and try again next year. Hehehe (Team leader have to say like that one, even with team leader himself did so badly :P )

Parames, 'Asyida, Fara, Pushpa and myself!!

After the bowling, my colleagues and I went for Baskin-Robbins ice cream. hohoho. Quite nice. After that we gila, went to Asia Cafe for more food!! There's a lot of things to eat there. The variety there is too much that I can't decide which to eat!!!(What a diffrence compared to Cyberjaya :P) In the end I've ordered Chinese Ramen. The texture of the mee is quite good but the soup is a bit too plain. Maybe I don't know what to expect of a chinese ramen.

Tomorrow I'm gonna try Bak Kut Teh steamboat!! I dun care if I'm sick. I wanna try at least once. While still got promotion :P

My First Blog?

Watdaheck? I actually created my own blog? Haha... Hopefully it'll be properly maintained, by myself... and filled with lotsa craps... i really mean a lot :P

18 April 2005 marks the date that I first join Motorola and yesterday was the anniversary... well sorta... went to Pizza Hut for lunch and I am goddamn
SICK of pizza now...
SAY TAK NAK TO PIZZA!!!
Luckily the plus point is that I went with a bunch of great colleagues that joined Motorola the same day as me also. They are really nice friends to be with I tell u... I wonder how I'm gonna survive in Motorola for so long without them around. I would like to declare that my fellow colleagues are the BEST IN THE WORLD!!

Well coincidently for this year, Motorola had the townhall on the 18th like last year too!! What's townhall u ask? Well some boring stuff that u might not want to know... I actually fell asleep in there!!! haha... Well that's the normal me, the KH that everyone knows...

To sum up the day, when I was about to head home from office, the handle of my car driver's door broke.
IT ACTUALLY BROKE!!! SAY TAK NAK TO PROTON TOO!!!
What a day I've had!!
